KEY POINT Goal setting is much more than simply saying you want something to happen. Unless you clearly define exactly what you want and understand why you want it in the first place, your odds of success are considerably reduced.
Developing Your Strategy "How are you going to win in the period ahead?" That's the key question behind developing strategy. To win at anything worthwhile, you need a game plan. Professional sports teams know this, and this idea applies to your organization, your department, your team - and even to yourself as an individual. To be successful means knowing how to use your talent and resources to best advantage, and it's very difficult to "win" if you don't have this game plan in place.

I really liked the VARK test The questionnaire alerts people to the variety of different approaches to learning. It supports those who have been having difficulties with their learning. And my scores were: • Visual: 3 • Aural: 11 • Read/Write: 7 • Kinesthetic: 10 So I've an Aural Study Strategies, So what should I do? and what does that mean?
If you have a strong preference for learning by Aural methods you should use some or all of the following: To take in the information: • attend classes • attend discussions and tutorials • discuss topics with others • discuss topics with your teachers • explain new ideas to other people • use a tape recorder • remember the interesting examples, stories, jokes... • describe the overheads, pictures and other visuals to somebody who was not there • leave spaces in your notes for later recall and 'filling'.
And that was first part quite good but the second part was even better and that was the SWOT. The SWOT SWOT analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture
Strengths: characteristics of the business or team that give it an advantage over others in the industry. Weaknesses: are characteristics that place the firm at a disadvantage relative to others. Opportunities: external chances to make greater sales or profits in the environment. Threats: external elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business. To make a learnable package: Convert your "notes" into a learnable package by reducing them (3:1) • Your notes may be poor because you prefer to listen. You will need to expand your notes by talking with others and collecting notes from the textbook. • Put your summarised notes onto tapes and listen to them. • Ask others to 'hear' your understanding of a topic. • Read your summarised notes aloud. • Explain your notes to another 'aural' person.

Finished my placement Started on 31/01/2011 to 04/02/2011. A week placement at Honda UK Manufacturer (HUM), was an excellent week. I didn't expect that I'll have that responsibility of creating the policy and procedure to develop the overall strategy for (HUM) to dispose all the computer hardware. The policy they already have wasn't clear enough, and the management team put comments on each point of the old policy, so I started to read all these points just to get an idea about their current policy, but that was on the third day. On my first day I had a half day induction with Nick Mackey from the HR Department, he was showing me my locker and my uniform which I have to wear each day. then he give me a card that i can top it up with some money to buy coffee from the coffee machine, and then an hour presentation about HUM and the health and safety information, then we went to the production line to show me how they built the car from the beginning until it's ready for the customer. I would like to show you this video but trust me if you watch it live in the production line it's much better. Part 1, Part 2.
Results of my placementreally good results came back from Honda, received the Observation Sheet for Working and Professional Practice after the finished it at Honda and emailed it to the college.
